Taste-Testing Cat Food

1. Choose one brand of dry cat food. Purchase a small bag of each different variety they offer.

2. Fill your cat's bowl with a different variety of the brand's cat food each day.

3. Note how long the food remains in the bowl. Pay attention to your cat's demeanor, and make note of this as well.

4. Repeat the same steps with different brands' varieties.

5. Compare your notes. See if a pattern has emerged showing your cat's preference for one brand of food over another.

6. If your cat seems to prefer one brand over the others, refer to your notes to see which variety it responded the most enthusiastically to.
