How to Make Baby Shower Party Favors With Ribbon
The best way to thank guests at your baby shower is by giving party favors. These are like small souvenirs that are given to baby shower attendees. If you have ribbon on hand and some fancy scented soaps or candy, you have instant party favors. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need
- Scissors
- Small sandwich bags without a zipper or party favor bags
- Travel-sized scented bath products (optional)
- Candy (optional)
- Small beads or charms for baby showers shaped like rattles, pacifiers, baby carriages or bottles (optional)

Fill the bags with either the candy or the travel-sized bath products.

Cut a 6-inch piece of ribbon per bag.

Thread one or more of the baby shower-themed beads onto the ribbon. The bead(s) should be in the center of the ribbon.

Tie each bag closed with a ribbon. The bead(s) will be on the opposite side of the ribbon loop made around the top of the bag from the knot. The knot will prevent the bead(s) from falling off as well as keep the bag closed. You'll have a ribbon tied around the top of the bag with two long tail ends extending from it. Each of these ends will be about 2 to 2 1/2 inches long.

Open the scissors and lay one tail of the ribbon around each bag on the blade of one of the legs of the scissors.

Gently pull the scissor blade along the length of the ribbon, using enough pressure to make the ribbon curl but not so much as to break or cut the ribbon. It's best to have the ribbon at an angle to the blade rather than directly on top of it. When you reach the end of the ribbon, the ribbon will curl up. Continue to repeat this until the ribbon is as curly as you want it. Each time you curl the ribbon it becomes more tightly coiled than before.

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 with the other tail of the ribbon on the bag.

Follow Steps 5 through 7 for the remaining bags until you have all of the bags tied with beads attached and curled ribbon tails.

You can put anything you like into these party favors. Use your imagination. Bottles of nail polish, perfume sample bottles, or even gift cards are all possible fillings for the bags.
