How to Download MP3 Torrents
Ever since the creation of Napster and the rise of P2P sharing networks, music and media has become increasingly easier to find and download. The new sharing technology of today involves the BitTorrent network. Rather than searching for each song individually as was the case for Napster, torrents allow the user to download albums and even discographies. Torrents are able to be downloaded much faster than on other programs because more users are connected to the network.

1
Go to the Torrentz website (see Resources). Type in the name of the artist that you want to download in the search bar. The name of the album of the artist will come up in your search results.
-
2
Click the torrent that has the highest seed to leech ratio. Seeds are people who are uploading the file and leeches are people who are downloading it. The higher the seed count and the lower the leech count is, the faster the download will be.

-
3
Choose the torrent download location such as Minova, Monova, or Vertor. Although some locations are faster and have higher seed counts than others, the torrent location does not influence the download that much overall.
-
4
Click "Download this torrent." Open the torrent with your desired torrent client such as Utorrent, BitTorrent, or Vuze (see Resources). All of these clients do the same thing by downloading the torrent file and converting it into an MP3.
-
5
Select either all of the songs to download from the album or individual ones. Click "OK." Your download will now gather seeds and will begin shortly in the window of your torrent client. When the progress has reached 100 percent, the download is finished.

Tips & Warnings
If the download has a small number of seeds or is downloading at a slow rate, go back to Torrentz and download the same file from another torrent location.
