How to Remove Stains From Microfiber Furniture
Microfiber is a compilation of woven and non woven fibers, usually polyester. This combination of different fibers is often used to make everything from clothes to upholstery, even janitorial products. A stain on microfiber furniture can detract from the aesthetic and cause a general eyesore that can be more than a hassle. Trying to just wipe it away with a damp cloth may only make the stain worse, so special care must be taken. Things You'll Need
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Toothbrush
- Powdered laundry detergent
- Soft clean cloth
- Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
- OxiClean
- Unprocessed bran
- Vinegar

Dip a toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide and scrub the stain out while fluffing up the fibers. Add more hydrogen peroxide and scrub until the stain is gone.

Make a paste of equal parts laundry detergent and water and apply it to the stain. Allow it to sit on the stain for at least five minutes and scrub the area with a soft clean damp cloth. Allow the area to dry and use the brush attachment of the vacuum cleaner to clean up any loose detergent particles.

Dampen a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and wipe the stain with it until it is gone.

Dissolve 1 tbsp. of OxiClean in a cup of hot water and dip a cloth or sponge into it. Scrub the stain until it is gone.

Pour a cup of unprocessed bran into a bowl and add vinegar until it is the consistency of brown sugar. Put the mixture in the foot part of a pair of pantyhose and wipe the stain with it. Wipe until the stain is gone.

Read any care instructions that came on the tag with the furniture. Test each method in an inconspicuous area of the furniture before using it to remove the stain.
