Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Remove the back seat. The back seat needs to be grasped in the middle, and with some force it should lift right out.

  2. Step 2

Locate the battery on the passenger side. Unbolt the positive and negative terminal.

  3. Step 3

Remove any mounts holding the battery in place. This will require an adjustable wrench.

  4. Step 4

Pull the battery out and replace with the new one. Make sure the new battery lines up the same as the old one.

  5. Step 5

Tighten the mount back on the battery. Make sure the battery is secure in place.

  6. Step 6

Re-attach your positive and negative cables. Make sure you put the red on the positive and the black on the negative.

  7. Step 7

Place your back seat in position. The back seat should snap in place.

Tips & Warnings
  • The socket size needed may vary from year to year.
  • Use extreme caution when working with a battery. It is made from toxic chemicals and could burn or cause serious damage to you or your vehicle. Be sure to take the battery to the proper disposal when ready to throw away. Your parts house will often take the bad battery back as a core.
