How to Use Retin-A Micro
Retin-A Micro is a topical acne medication available by prescription only due to its potent acne-fighting abilities. Retin-A Micro is particularly used to treat severe acne, known as cystic acne or acne vulgaris. These are the types of acne lesions that occur deep within the dermis, and are often painful to the touch. They may also take several days or even weeks to heal completely. Retin-A Micro contains a powerful acne medication called Tretinoin, which also happens to be the most prescribed acne medication. The pimple-clearing effects become noticeable after about two weeks of regular use. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Cleanse your face to remove surface dirt, oil and bacteria. Use a mild, oil-free cleanser instead of regular soap and water. Soap can dry out your skin. Pat your skin dry with a clean terrycloth towel.
-
2
Exfoliate your face with a gentle scrub. Exfoliation is important because it removes dead skin cells that obstruct skin pores, causing them to become clogged. By sloughing off surface skin cells, the Retin-A Micro gel will be more effective against cystic acne and other blemishes.

3
Apply the Retin-A Micro gel onto your face until the medication becomes invisible. Squeeze about a pea-sized amount onto your finger, then gently spread it all over your face. Avoid the eye area, mucous membranes and the sensitive lips. Always apply the Retin-A Micro in the evening before going to bed.

4
Wash off the Retin-A Micro in the morning. Apply a gentle, oil-free moisturizer that contains some sunblock--at least SPF 15. The Retin-A Micro will make your skin more prone to sunburn, so take the proper precautions.
-
5
Repeat this entire process on a nightly basis for at least two weeks or as recommended by your doctor.
