Many banks now offer online banking services for their customers--from opening accounts to maintaining them. At TCF Bank, the requirements to open a bank account are the same for online users as they are for walk-in patrons of the bank. You can open a TCF Bank checking account online or by visiting a local branch. The bank offers six different banking products for personal checking accounts. The online personal checking account application is designed to help those who already have a credit card or alternate checking account number to make their initial deposit.
