It's easier for a person with an established eBay account to make fast money through the site because more buyers will buy items from a seller who already has feedback established. But it's possible even for a new seller to make fast money on eBay. It requires items to sell and making the correct choices when listing those items.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Gather together items to sell. If you need money fast, the easiest thing to do is to sell items that you already have. These can be clothes that no longer fit, items that you forgot to take back to the store or things that you just never use anymore. Clean each of these items and photograph them for their eBay listings.

  2. Step 2

List the item through eBay by choosing the correct category for the item on the "Sell Your Item" form. Choose a title that will make it easy for anyone to find your item. Avoid using a "cute" title that will be harder to find. Instead, choose only the words you can anticipate people searching for when looking for your item.

  3. Step 3

Include a description for each item and at least one photograph. In the description box, mention the condition of your item and whether it is new or used. Answer any questions you can think of that a buyer might ask. For fast money, you don't want buyers to be slowed down by having to send you questions about the item.

  4. Step 4

Include PayPal as a payment option, if not as the only option. eBay no longer lets sellers take money orders and checks for most categories, but it does allow several different online money transfer companies. However, if you choose one of the more obscure ones, you will drive away buyers who could be bidding on your item instead of wishing they had an account with your payment option.

  5. Step 5

Choose short auction times and include a "Buy It Now" price for your auction. You may speed up the process by listing an item for a fixed price, but many buyers don't feel an urgency with fixed-price listings. With an auction, there is a specific ending time, and that can attract people who are willing to buy now. Adding a "Buy It Now" price means that someone can win the item by being the first one to accept the "Buy It Now" price before anyone bids. This is often one of the quickest ways to sell items on eBay.
