How to Make an Origami Picture Frame

Things You'll Need

• One sheet of square origami paper
• Photograph

Instructions

1. Lay your paper on a flat work surface with the patterned side facing up. Fold the right edge over to the left edge, align the edges and crease the fold. Unfold the fold.

2. Fold the top edge down to the bottom edge, align the edges and crease the fold. Unfold the fold.

3. Locate the middle of the paper by finding the intersection of the folds made in steps 1 and 2. Fold the top left corner into the middle point. Crease the fold and repeat with the other three corners.

4. Flip the folded paper over to the other side.

5. Locate the middle of the paper again. Fold the top left corner into the middle in the same fashion as Step 3. Crease the fold well and repeat with the other three corners.

6. Flip the folded paper back over to the other side.

7. Pull the top layer of each square from the middle point out toward a corner. Crease the folds well. Allow a border to show around all of the edges. This means that as you pull the top layer of each square out to the corners, you will stop before you line the corners up completely. This will create a white border around the edge of the picture frame.

8. Insert a photograph into the center of your origami frame under the top and bottom layers of paper.

9. Unfold a triangle on the back along the left and right sides to support the frame on a table.
