How to Make Leather Cord Necklaces

Leather cord necklaces are some of the most attractive and most beautiful kinds of jewelry. If you are just thinking about getting started in jewelry making, creating a necklace with leather cording would be the perfect project to begin with. The process is simple, there are no special techniques to learn and you will produce a lovely necklace with very little effort. Learn how to make leather cord necklaces and make a beautiful necklace to wear or give away.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2mm leather cording
  • Pendant (with loop) 15 mm
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

    Cut your leather cording to the length desired for your necklace plus 3 inches.

  2. Step 2

    String the pendant onto the leather cording.

  3. Step 3

    Bring the ends of the leather cord together and tie a simple knot so that approximately 4 inches of leather cording extends beyond the knot.

  4. Step 4
     

    Tie another knot in the leather cording with the tail of the cording and the other side of the cording.

  5. Step 5

    Slide the knots to adjust the length of the leather cording to adjust the length of your necklace between longer and shorter.
