There's nothing quite as shiny and impressive looking as a set of stainless steel skillets; yet every time you use one it scorches the food and ends up a burnt on mess. Instead of spending your time scrubbing and scouring your stainless steel to keep it looking good, learn the trick to cooking with stainless steel skillets and you'll appreciate the true quality of these products on your kitchen stove.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Turn your stove burner on to the desired setting for your recipe.

  2. Step 2

Place your dry, empty stainless steel skillet on the burner and allow the pan to heat to temperature, approximately two minutes.

  3. Step 3

Add any oil, butter or other cooking medium to the skillet and turn the pan slightly to coat the bottom. Let heat for an additional minute.

  4. Step 4

Fill the pan with the rest of your ingredients, according to the recipe. Your stainless steel skillet will cook evenly, with no sticking food residue.
