How to Send Something First-Class Mail International
The United States Postal Service (USPS) reorganized their international shipping classifications in 2007 and created First-Class Mail International (FCI). This is currently the most economical method of sending mail, up to 4 lbs., from the U.S. to international destinations. FCI may travel by air or by surface or by a combination of both, and USPS does not guarantee a delivery time, as with other classes of international mail. Postal fees for FCI vary by destination and package size and weight. These guidelines will take you through the process of packaging, addressing and sending items via First-Class Mail International.
