Many body powders are directly for either babies, or women, and have floral or pretty scents. This body powder has a nice sandalwood and vanilla scent that is perfect for men, or women who want something a bit different.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 Pound of Powdered French Clay
  • 1/4 Pound of Powdered Calendula Flowers
  • 1 Ounce of Powdered Benzoin Gum
  • 1/4 Ounce of Sandalwood Oil
  • 1/4 Ounce of Vanilla Oil
  1. Step 1

Pour the powdered french clay, powdered calendula flowers and powdered benzoin gum into a large mixing bowl. Stir all of them together gently with a wooden spoon or spatula.

  2. Step 2

To incorporate the sandalwood oil and vanilla oil into the body powder, there are two ways to do this. The easiest, is to use a food processor set to low to mix it all together. If you don't have a food processor, take a few tablespoons of the powder and move into a small mixing bowl. Add in the oils, and blend together until the oils have soaked up into the powder. Add in a few more tablespoons and do this again. Then put the mixture back into the powder, and mix together gently.

  3. Step 3

Sift the powder into an airtight storage container. I suggest using an old pasta or flour container. You could also used a cleaned out old body powder container as well. Store the container in a dry, dark area. The body powder should be used within a 5-6 week period.
