Clean Your Cars Interior

This article will show you some great tips on how to clean your cars interior. Will show you how to get in all the little cracks and crevices that are hard to reach in your car.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shop vac or vacuum cleaner with hose and attachments.
  • Extension cord.
  • Soft rags, maybe microfiber.
  • Upholstery cleaner.
  • Armor all protection cleaner.
  • Window cleaner
  • Interior detail brush kit or tooth brush.
  • Some sort of orange cleaner.
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is clear out all of the trash and stuff you have sitting in your car. Put the good stuff in one bag, and the trash in the other

  2. Step 2

Take out your floor mats and vacuum the interior of the car, for hard to reach places, use different attachments or use some sort of brush to brush the dirt into a place where you can vacuum it up.
Also you can remove interior components to clean them really well.

  3. Step 3

Spray some armor all onto a soft rag or towel and wipe the dash, and interior components off. Make sure not to get the door handels, shifter, or the steering wheel with armor all because it is slick and will slide out of your hands. For these use an orange cleaner that does not make things slick.

  4. Step 4

For the cracks that have dirt and grime in them go ahead and sweep them with he interior brush to get out the dirt and grime. Sometimes the grime needs to have some orange cleaner on it before it will loosen up enough to wipe out. Then wipe the area to clean off the stuff you got out of your cracks.

  5. Step 5

To clean dirty upholstery use interior upholstery and carpet cleaner. Spray on the dirty spots, scrub it and then wipe it away. This also works on carpets but may have to sit longer.

  6. Step 6

To get out nasty pet odors out of carpet, sprinkle baking soda all over the carpets and the vacuum it away.
Another thing to do is put air fresheners under the seats or in the dash.

  7. Step 7

Last thing to do is clean the windows. Make sure if you have tinted windows make sure to just use distilled water, or a cleaner that is safe for tinted windows.
For the best results use newspaper to wipe the windows because they do not leave streaks.

Tips & Warnings
  • keep armor all or slippery cleaners off of steering wheels, door handles, and shifters.
  • Dont use regular window cleaner on tinted windows it will mess up the color.
