Deal With Anger

We all feel anger in our lives from something. Children feel it, teenagers feel it, and adults as well. Some people feel pain and then move on with their lives dismissing it. Anger can however become a large part of lives and it can "BECOME" our lives due to ongoing problems. The kids get mad, the person with the troubles gets mad, and so does the dog. Even when we try not to show that we are angry, it slips out by giving certain looks and gestures. The anger sometimes explodes on everybody but no-one gets rid of it. When the anger finally does blow over with one person, the other might say, "how dare you be angry at me, we have started over!" The other person then says "that's what you think. I'm just getting started!" Then everyone feels guilty because they are angry for not experiencing the new joy. Anger was never taught to us. We were shown mostly in-appropriate ways.

Things You'll Need:

  • Know how to get rid of the anger.
  1. Step 1

Don't bite your tongue, swallow it, stiffen your shoulders, push it into your stomach, rattle your head, run from it, medicate it, or give it a cookie.

  2. Step 2

Talk about it without fears of being judged.

  3. Step 3

Clergymen can actually help you and not accuse you.... sinner!

  4. Step 4

Give yourself and others permission to feel anger.

  5. Step 5

    Feel your emotions.

  6. Step 6

Hold the problem up to the light and look for a pattern from the last upset to make sure it's not "stinking-thinking".

  7. Step 7

Don't let your anger decide when you are going to calm down or stop screaming.

  8. Step 8

Go to another room and release that energy. Burn it off by doing something positive and physically benefiting.

  9. Step 9

    Write in a journal.

  10. Step 10

Have thoughts that would make you laugh. Some people even create visions of going to the funeral of the stress causer in their minds.

  11. Step 11

Don't react without thinking for a while first. This will help you make a better decision for YOU.

  12. Step 12

    Find your peace
