Things You'll Need:
- measuring tape
- patience
-
Step 1
First, begin by measuring your rib cage at the point where your bra would sit. Tighten the tape to where it is comfortable for you and take the measurement. This is the number part of the bra size. It is better to let someone else measure you, but if you are all you got, go for it.
-
Step 2
Next, you will need to take the measurements for your cup size. Place the measuring tape over the fullest part of your breast, and tighten the measuring tape only tight enough to be comfortable. The difference between the second measurement and the first measurement determines your cup size. A negative measurement is AAA. A difference of one inch is an A cup, two inches is a B cup, three inches is a C cup and so on.
-
Step 3
Using the measurements you just took, pick out several different bras to try on. Adjust the shoulder straps as necessary, and try the different bra styles on. A bra should not be uncomfortable to wear, and should not require further adjustments.
-
Step 4
Try on several different styles of bra. What works for a smaller bra size will not work for a larger cup size. Find the bras that fit your breasts. And remember, not all bras are the same.
