How to Find Spring Volunteer Opportunities

Spring is a great time to volunteer. The weather is usually nice and you feel like things have started anew.

Instructions

1. Get in touch with your child's school. There are assemblies, programs and field trips, all in need of your help.

2. Consider helping out at spring baseball. Coaches and team Moms are always needed.

3. Go to www.VolunteerMatch.org and get matched with an organization that needs your help and fits what you are looking to do.

4. Volunteers across the country are welcoming spring by taking part in a nationwide initiative, known as Project BudBurst, to track climate change by recording the timing of flowers and foliage. For more information check out http://www.windows.ucar.edu/citizen_science/budburst/

5. The Make a Wish Foundation has volunteer positions for everyone. Go to their webpage and fill in the volunteer form.

6. Big Brothers Big Sisters always needs your help. Check out their website and consider this step, its a big commitment.
