If you home is getting a bit dingy, it may be time to clean the outside of the house. Usually the easiest way is to pressure wash a house. A pressure washer is like a garden hose on steroids, and can knock the grime right off the exterior of your home.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    First you need to rent a pressure washer. Make sure you get one that has wheels so you can easily move it around the house. Also look for a pressure washer with a long enough hose to reach everything you want to clean. The PSI rating is a measure of power. If you want to pressure wash a house look for one in the 1500-2000 psi range.

  2. Step 2

    Put on safety equiptment such as goggles, and gloves.

  3. Step 3

    Depending on the type of exterior your house has you may want to add certain type of detergents or cleaners to the water tank. Otherwise follow the directions that come with your particular pressure washer.

  4. Step 4

    Starting at the top of the wall begin washing by making sweeping motions with the nozzle keeping it three feet from the surface of your house. Gradually work your way to the bottom.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid spraying windows. The pressure washer can break them.
  • Always wear safety glasses when you pressure wash a house.
