Blue Iris is a popular piece of webcam and video surveillance software. You can use Blue Iris to display, monitor and view up to 25 video cameras and other video recording devices simultaneously.

Blue Iris helps you turn your computer webcam or webcams into a remote home security monitoring system.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blue Iris website
  • Blue Iris installation download
  1. Step 1

    Visit the Blue Iris website in your web browser. The location of this site is in the Resources section at the bottom of this article.

  2. Step 2

    Navigate to the Download page on the Blue Iris website. The location of this page is also in the Resources section.

  3. Step 3

    Click the Download link for your preferred version of the Blue Iris software.

  4. Step 4

    Choose to download and then run the installer file using the functionality provided by your web browser. If you are not prompted to run the installer immediately after download on Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, select Tools->Downloads and click the name of the installer file in the dialog box or window that appears.

  5. Step 5

    The Install Shield Wizard installer launches.

  6. Step 6

    In the Install Shield Wizard window, accept the software license and choose the location where you want to install Blue Iris. The default location is C:\Program Files\Blue Iris.

  7. Step 7

    The Install Shield Wizard will install the Blue Iris program files.
