Things You'll Need

  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 2-3 medium sized onions, sliced
  • 3-5 carrots, sliced
  • 2 pounds of kielbasa
  • 2 bottles of beer
  • Side of noodles or rice

      Start by peeling and cutting your onions and carrots. Also cut the kielbasa into pieces. Use a large, heavy skillet and melt your butter on a low heat until its entirely liquefied. Add the onions and carrots, sauté over a medium heat until the onions caramelize with the butter.

      Add the kilebasa to the skillet and cook until the pieces are brown on both sides, which usually takes a few minutes. Next, take your beer and pour it over the contents in the skillet. Turn up the heat and bring to a boil.

      Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the contents simmer for about 30 minutes or until the liquid reduces to a syrup consistency. The onions combined with the beer should create a sauce. While the skillet is simmering, you can cook rice or noodles as your side dish.
