How to Write a Resume for an EKG Tech
An EKG tech, or electrocardiography technician, is a medically trained person who is trained to position electrodes over the chest area of people to record the electrical activity of their hearts. Because this position involves interaction with patients, it's important that a resume for an EKG tech show that the job applicant is comfortable dealing with people. Also, because an EKG tech works with expensive medical equipment, the resume should be tailored to show experience and a comfort level working with electronic devices. An EKG tech can land a job with the right resume.
Instructions

1
Outline your resume with a notebook and pen so you can add notes as they occur to you. As with most resumes, put your name and contact information at the top. Follow that with your career goal, which should be to produce accurate electrocardiographs while working as an electrocardiography technician.
-
2
Add your work history. Not every place of employment must be a medical facility. It helps to show that you have a steady work history, especially if you will later add employers as references in your resume. This way, you can prove that you're a conscientious worker--a valuable trait for an EKG technician.

3
Add your education history to your resume. Highlight your degrees obtained and any special medical training. Because EKG techs work with people, add any psychology or social work classes that you took. This might convince employers that you can deal with people.
-
4
Write a section on clubs and organizations that you have memberships with, especially if they're related to the medical field or deal with electronic equipment. For example, a ham radio club shows that you're comfortable working with electronic devices.
-
5
Add a section on your personal information. Include your hobbies and volunteer work, especially if they're medically related.
-
6
Edit the notebook version of your resume for grammar mistakes and typographical errors. Type the edited version into a computer file. Save the file and print out a copy of your EKG tech resume.

Tips & Warnings
Have a friend read over your resume to get a second opinion.
Don't use paper that is a color other than white. It will look unprofessional and seem as if you're trying to mask aspects of your resume that are generally lacking.
