Things You'll Need:
- Blemish cream
- Oil-free Makeup Primer
- Oil-free Foundation
- 1 Makeup Palette
- Lip Gloss
-
Step 1
Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser and apply a thin layer of blemish cream to any areas that need it. This will create the base.
-
Step 2
Prom makeup should last all night so apply a small amount of an oil-free makeup primer to create smoother looking skin.
-
Step 3
Use an oil-free foundation. If you have discoloration, then lightly dab on a second coat in those areas only. Lightly buff your foundation to blend. Blush should be a natural color or you can use bronzing powder if you have a light tan.
-
Step 4
Use a makeup palette that contains eyeshadows, blush and lip gloss in it. You'll apply your makeup like normal, then get ready to enhance your look.
-
Step 5
Take an eye liner brush and dip it in distilled water. Squeeze out the excess. Pick up the darkest color in your palette and use it as an eye liner. Go back and add a tiny amount on the outer corner of your eyes to play them up.
-
Step 6
Enhance by adding the lightest color of eye shadow at the inner corner of your eyes to set them off. Then take that same light color and dab the center of your lips with it for a little shimmer effect. Use the same light color for a very slight shimmer on the top of your cheekbones.
-
Step 7
Finish your special prom makeup look by using 3 coats of mascara. One on upper and lower lashes. Coat the top a second time. Then top off by adding one more coat to just the outer lashes. Carry the makeup palette in your purse for touch-ups. Smile and enjoy your night!
