With a Belkin wireless router you can connect computers to the same Internet connection without having to run cables between all of them. If you don't want any stranger with a laptop that is within the range of your wireless router to be able to access your network you will first need to enable the router's security settings.

This was a good start and got me headed in the right direction. I believe this article would be more helpful if you could tell us what the device would be called in the device list. Honestly I don't know but it is not belkin. It was great that you gave the IP address of where to go but a newbie is going to need to know where to find the key to enter in. Where is that located? This article was great in helping me get started but it would be exceptional if it written for someone who has never set router security before and it was fined tuned for them. Thanks for the help with what I needed to do!
