Most insect repellents are filled with harsh chemicals, and unnatural ingredients. This insect repellent is the perfect blend of a few basic, natural, ingredients that work to repel bugs and are gentle on the skin.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Cups of Witch Hazel
  • 1 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Citronella Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Lemongrass Oil
  1. Step 1

Pour the witch hazel into a large mixing bowl, then add in the vinegar and whisk together gently.

  2. Step 2

Pour in the citronella and lemongrass oil and whisk everything together gently, then pour into a glass jar with a lid, or a plastic bottle with a lid.

  3. Step 3

Allow the mixture to sit in the fridge for about 6 hours.

  4. Step 4

I suggest pouring the mixture into a spray bottle, or you could just use a regular bottle or jar and pour it out and massage it into the skin. However, you'll waste a lot of it if you pour it out instead of just spraying it.

  5. Step 5

Store in the fridge between uses, and it will stay fresh for about 3 weeks.
