How to Start a Murray Lawn Tractor for Spring Lawn Care

It's time for spring lawn care, but after a long winter many homeowners need refresher courses on how to use equipment that's been in storage. Unless a plow is attached to the lawn tractor, it's probably been over six months since the machine has been started.
Get started on spring lawn care with ease. After the oil has been checked, the gas tank filled with fresh fuel and debris removed from the undercarriage, it's time to rev up the machine and get to work.
Remember that the lawn tractor is equipped with a sensor switch and will not start unless the seat is occupied.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Murray Lawn Tractor
• Ignition Key

1. Depress the clutch/brake pedal of the lawn tractor, and keep it pressed forward.

2. Shift into neutral (N).

3. Check that the control for the lawn tractor blade rotation is set to disengage.

4. Fully choke the lawn tractor by moving the throttle to the Fast position.

5. Turn the ignition key to start.

6. Throttle back to Slow.
