The Marmot Limelight tent is a very simple tent to assemble. It is a great tent for backpacking and can be assembled in less than 10 minutes. This how to will explain how to pitch the tent only and not the rainfly.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Marmot Limelight 2P or 3P tent
  1. Step 1

Find a level area of ground and remove any rocks or sharp objects from that area.

  2. Step 2

Lay the tent out on the ground, pull all 4 corners out as far as possible.

  3. Step 3

Attach all the pieces of the rods. Just unbend everything and it should snap in place due to the constant pressure created by the string inside. There are 2 long rods that are connected in the middle and 1 short rod.

  4. Step 4

Make an x shape out of the 2 larger poles. Attach the ends of the poles to the grommets in the corner of the tent. Once all 4 ends are in the grommets the poles should be arched to form a tent shape. Attach the clips that are on the tent to the poles to erect the tent.

  5. Step 5

Attach the shorter bar to the top of the tent. It goes in the pockets on the side flaps. The curved smaller pole will extend over the top of the other 2 crossed bars already there.

  6. Step 6

That is it! Your tent is now done. Feel free to now add the footprint, rainfly, or gear loft if any of those are necessary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure there is nothing sharp where your tent will be.
  • Assemble the tent at home before the camping trip to be sure there are no missing and pieces and make sure you know how to set it up.
