How to Remove Tub Caulk

Now you can remove old caulking around the bathtub ready for re seal.

Things You'll Need:

• wood chisel

1. With the sharp pointed end of the chisel laying flat on the tub, push it forward and scrape off the caulking from the top edge of the bathtub. Just make sure that the chisel is always flat on the tub be cause the tub is flat and level, the chisel will scrape the caulking right off.

2. Put the flat edge of the chisel against the wall tiles and scrape off the caulking from the wall tiles. Scrape off the flat tiles then clean out the corner where the tiles meet the tub.

3. After scraping off the caulking from the tub and the wall tiles you can use the chisel to clean up or scrape off any missing spots on the wall and the tub. The chisel is flat and sharp enough to clean off any left over caulking on the tub and the wall tiles.

Tips & Warnings

• Be light with the chisel if you have a plastic vinyl tub.
