How to Make Hair Extensions Into a Ponytail

This is one of the simpler ways I know how attach hair extensions in the hair.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Track hair extensions
  • needle and thread
  1. Step 1

The first thing you will need to do is braid the hair into a circular motion, and make sure none of your braids are loose. Next you will need to get the needle and thread ready, make sure that the thread is a color that will blend in well with your hair where you can't see it.

  2. Step 2

Black thread preferrably for black people and yellow for blond, but if your hair is completely white, then white thread will have to be used. If you're using a ponytail matching the color of your hair. Next take the thread and thread your needle, make sure the thread is long enough, because like I said, you will be going in a circular motion as well when you sew.

  3. Step 3

Eighteen inches is good to start with if you're doing it yourself, so your arms want get too tired. Next, place the track on the hair, starting at the beginning of the track and starting when you finished braiding. Hold your hair in place, then get your needle and thread and start sewing until you run low on thread, then rethread your needle again as long as you want your thread.

  4. Step 4

Just don't make it too long, because your thread can knot up. Then start sewing again. Keep doing this until you reach the end of your braided around hair. Then pull your hair back in a ponytail and make sure no thread is visible. Some people can use gel to slick the hair down so it can blend right in, and some do not need any gel, you will know when you pull your hair back. If you use any gel, try not to use too much. You may also try to use bobby pins as well to pin the ponytail around in a circular motion, this may end up making your head really sore, but it works as well, but if you decide to pin the ponytail in, do it the very same way, but just by pinning. Use no needles at all. Hope this work for you.

Tips & Warnings
  • The reason why I suggest sewing it in, is if a strong wind was to blow, you will not have to worry about losing your ponytail. If someone was to pull it, it will not snatch right out unless they pull hard enough and snatch your real hair out with it.
  • Stay away from flames with any weave hair, and your own hair as well!
