Chocolate Cake Shot
Chocolate Cake Shot

The Chocolate Cake Shot is a great tasting drink (shot) that does not have chocolate or cake in it but instead for the strong resemblance in taste to a chocolate cake. This is a very easy, step-by-step recipe for making a great tasting Chocolate Cake Shot.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
  • Vodka (preferably a vanilla flavored vodka)
  • Lemon Wedge
  • Sugar
  • Old Fashioned Glass
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Cocktail Strainer
  • Ice
  1. Step 1
    Cocktail Shaker

    Cocktail Shaker

First start by adding a small amount of ice to the cocktail shaker to chill the drink while making it. Then run the rim of an old fashioned glass or larger shot glass through sugar to coat the rim. If the sugar does not stay then lightly wet the rim with your water using your fingertip.

  2. Step 2
    Smirnoff Vanilla Flavored Vodka

Next add three-fourths of an ounce of vodka to the cocktail shaker. I personally prefer a great tasting vanilla flavored vodka such as Smirnoff Vanilla Flavored Vodka.

  3. Step 3
    Frangelico Hazelnut Flavored Liqueur

Now add three-fourths of an ounce of Frangelico Hazelnut Flavored Liqueur to the cocktail shaker.

  4. Step 4
    Cocktail Strainer

Shake the ingredients for just a few seconds in the shaker to combine the ingredients and then pour through a cocktail strainer into the sugar-rimmed glass.

  5. Step 5
    Lemon Wedge

Finally serve with a lemon wedge. To drink the shot, lick the sugar from the rim of the glass, drink the shot and then quickly suck the lemon wedge. These steps should be followed quickly for the best taste. This is a great shot that tastes unbelievably like bite of chocolate cake. Enjoy with friends. Bottoms up!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Always use top shelf ingredients whenever possible to make sure that a premium drink is made. If it is worth making, then it is worth doing right.
  • Always drink responsibly and in moderation.
  • Please don't drink and drive.
