An Eye Ready for the Club

Clubbing makeup is all about glamor and fun. A little more makeup is used for night than in the daytime so that your look can be seen in the low lighting of clubs. The right application can give you a stunning look that will accentuate your features.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foundation
  • Powdered bronzer
  • Black or navy eyeliner
  • Black mascara
  • Lash curler
  • Dark eyeshadow (navy, emerald, gray)
  • White eye shadow
  • Lipstick and matching liner
  • Clear gloss
  1. Step 1

Put on your foundation. Add a brush of bronzer to your hairline, the tops of your cheeks and the length of your nose for a warm glow.

  2. Step 2

Line your eye with eye liner. Smudge the line with the tip of your finger or with a makeup sponge. Line the bottom lid from the inner corner to halfway across the lid. Going all the way across can look too heavy or dark.

  3. Step 3

Apply your dark shadow over the entire eye, up to the brow bone. On the brow bone, smudge a line of white shadow and blend the edges with the darker shadow. The white shadow highlights your brow bone and visually opens up your eyes.

  4. Step 4

Put a dot of white shadow on the inner corner of the eye to make your eyes pop. The white will also look stunning around black lights.

  5. Step 5

Curl your lashes. Apply a coat of mascara, let it dry, then apply a second coat.

  6. Step 6

Line the lips and apply a lipstick that is a little darker than what you normally wear.

  7. Step 7

Go over the lipstick with a clear gloss. The gloss will add shine to your lips and will make your lipstick last longer.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have given yourself dramatic eyes, play down the lips with a subtle shade. If you have bright, glossy lips, downplay the eyes. Putting a lot of makeup on both can look gaudy.
  • Choose an eyeshadow that works well with your eye color. Brown or gold works well for blue eyes, purple or yellow works well for green eyes and green or pink looks good on brown eyes.
