This herbal shampoo is a great way to help get softer, shinier, and healthier hair. Use in replace of your regular shampoo, or just use as needed. This shampoo is gentle enough for those with a sensitive scalp.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 1/2 Cup of Baby Shampoo
  • 1 Tablespoon of Calendula
  • 1 Tablespoon of Rosemary
  • 1 Tablespoon of Dried Orange Peel
  • 1 Tablespoon of Comfrey
  • 1 Tablespoon of Chamomile
  • 1 Teaspoon of Jojoba Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Lemon Balm Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Lavender Oil
  1. Step 1

Bring the water to a boil in a medium pot that has a coordinating lid.

  2. Step 2

Once the bubbles begin to roll across the top of the water, remove the pot from the heat.

  3. Step 3

Pour in all of the herbs (do not put in the oil or baby shampoo) and use a spatula or wooden spoon to push everything under the water, making sure none of it is just floating at the top.

  4. Step 4

Put the lid on, and let the mixture steep for 20 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Strain the mixture into a shampoo bottle, and add in the baby shampoo and oils. Shake gently.

  6. Step 6

In between uses, store in the fridge. The mixture will stay fresh for about one month.
