How to make your own Body Oil

Here is a recipe for making your own body oil. This oil is especially good for use a after a shower or bath.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Storage Bottle
  • Measuring Cup
  • 100% pure sweet almond oil
  • 100% pure jojoba oil
  • Vitamin E oil
  • Essential oil fragrance
  • Dried flowers(optional)
  1. Step 1

    Mixing these oils in your kitchen makes for an easy clean up. Look for these oils in craft stores, beauty supplies, or online.

    Measure 8oz. Sweet Almond Oil.

    Measure 8oz. Jojoba Oil.

  4. Step 4
    Vitamin E Capsules

    Measure 2 tablespoons of Vitamin E oil.

    If you are going to be adding fresh or dried flowers add them now. Pour your oils into your storage bottle, I prefer glass but plastic will work fine.

    Add your essential oil.
    Here are a few suggestions
    * 6 drops essential almond oil
    * 6 drops essential rose oil
    * 3 drops essential lavender oil with 4 drops essential chamomile oil
    * 3 drops essential orange oil, 3 drops essential grapefruit oil, 2 drops essential lemon oil.
    Or you can add artificial fragrance, which you can find in most craft stores. You can also add color which you can find in craft stores as well.

  7. Step 7

    Once your oils and fragrance are in your bottle, add the cork or screw the top on a and shake to mix.

    Store your body oil in a cool dry place. Flowers make for a pretty display bottle on your counter. You can make less or more oil just measure equal parts of the oil and add your fragrance and Vitamin E oil.

    If you are allergic to nuts or you can't find these oils you can substitute with extra virgin olive oil, grape seed oil, rice bran oil, or coconut oil and follow steps 1-7.

  10. Step 10
     

    You can use this body oil after baths, showers, pedicures, manicures, and ideal to moisturize your legs after shaving.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add flowers to compliment your scent.
  • They make great gifts.
  • You can mix different essential oil to create your signature scent.
  • If you are pregnant, nursing, you are allergic, or you have other health issues ALWAYS ask your doctor if it is safe for you to use essential oils.
  • Do not consume your body oil.
  • Keep essential oil out of the reach of children.
  • Store your body oil in your bathroom to avoid confusion.
