  1. Step 1

Take notes and create a spreadsheet. Make a top 5 list of your favorite July flowers that you might consider using in your wedding.

You can even make separate lists for bouquets, centerpieces and other decorations.

  3. Step 3

Think about your wedding colors. What flowers will match up well with your chosen wedding colors?

Or, maybe you will want to let your chosen flowers dictate what colors you will use as your wedding colors.

  4. Step 4

Hire an experienced, qualified florist. A good florist will be able to tell you what flowers are in season for your area.

They are also great resources for ideas, and they will help you create your wedding vision. Share your ideas and notes with them so they can guide you in the right direction.

  5. Step 5

Choose your flowers. After all of your research and help from a florist, the time has come to choose the flowers you will use for your wedding.

You will have to select flowers for your bouquets, centerpieces and other decorations. After completing the first four steps, this last step should be relatively stress free.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose flowers that are in season and readily available to avoid extra fees.
  • Setting a budget for your wedding flowers will help you to not spend more than you can afford.
  • Doing it yourself might sound tempting, but finding the right combination of flowers can be very challenging.
