Save Money on Spring Cleaning

Skip the expensive cleaners and use these money saving tips to give your house a thorough and safe spring cleaning without breaking the bank!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use Baking Soda. It's shocking how much this little yellow box can accomplish; use it as an effective grout cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and kitchen cleaner by dusting powder over the surface area, wetting a scrub brush, and scrubbing the area clean.

  2. Step 2

Use Vinegar to Brighten Clothes. Use vinegar in all your washes to brighten colors and deep clean clothes; skip the expensive laundry additives like Oxy Clean or special bleaches.

  3. Step 3

Clear Sluggish Drains with Baking Soda and Vinegar. Pour baking soda then vinegar down the drain; let them react, then clear with boiling water.

  4. Step 4

Use Vinegar to Clean Windows. Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and you will receive excellent results; add some lemon juice for fragrance with cleaning power.

  5. Step 5

Use Cream of Tartar to Clean Porcelain. Dust some of the powder onto a porcelain surface and scrub to clean.
