Step 1
About Ready to tan a Cowhide to Hard Leather like mentioned in my first step.In this here first step of Runescape money making written by myself, I will explain cowhiding. Now, first of all, you need to have weapons of course with you. If you do not, go to the Grand Exchange and buy your weaponry there. If you do not know where the Grand Exchange is, it is located in the city of Varrok. If you do not know where certain things/places are, I suggest you go to http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/RuneScape_Wiki.
Now, let me explain cowhiding in depth. Cowhiding is the term giving to players who seek out to kill cows and after slaying them you take their cowhide to sell later on. I do this method most of the time. First, let me explain where cows can be located.
Cow Locations:
* Lumbridge
* Crafting Guild
* Zanaris
* Hemenster
* Farm south of Falador
* North of the windmill north-west of Lumbridge
* Yanille
* Sinclair Mansion
What I do with the cowhides is I go to Ellis who is located in Al Kharid. But he not the only tanner in Runescape. A tanner can be found in Al-Kharid, the Ranging Guild (members only), and the Crafting Guild. Ellis's shop is located in north-west Al Kharid. Ellis is the tanner in Al Kharid. He takes cowhides, snakeskins, and dragonhides there to be tanned for a fee. I go to him to have them tanned to hard leather. For each cowhide you wish to be tanned to hard leather by Ellis, you have to pay 3 coins. In my opinion, I don't really think its that much of a big deal paying that small amount of tanning your cowhides. By doing this, when I go to sell them at the Grand Exchange later, I get like about 163 coins each. Well, this step of money making in Runescape is probably not the most popular, but I find it as a very good method one way or another.
I just keep repeating this process of cowhiding and tanning them to hard leather and just add them to my bank space. When I have a very high decent amount of hard leather, I go straight to the Grand Exchange and sell them there and get my money (coins). -
Step 2
Big Bones imageNow, for my second step, I will now explain selling Big Bones.
Big Bones are dropped by normally large monsters, such as any sorts of Giants, Giant Frogs, Ogres etc. The only free-to-play monsters that drop big bones are: hill giants, moss giants, and ice giants.
Lately the price has been skyrocketing for big bones, most likely because of such high demand.
Big bones can be sold at the Grand Exchange for anywhere around 300-400 coins making it a very great way to make money. Similarly, bones have steadily increased in price on the Grand Exchange.
What I do personally is kill Hill Giants at Edgeville Dungeon to retrieve the Big Bones. This dungeon can be accessed through the entrance located in the house northeast of the Barbarian Village and west of the Cooking Guild. The Edgeville Dungeon area is usually quite crowded, as players like to gather Big bones and either bury them for Prayer experience, or sell them to the Grand Exchange or to other players. -
Step 3
Yew LogsFor my 3rd step I will explain chopping down Yew Trees and getting yew logs to sell at the Grand Exchange.
You have to have a Woodcutting level of 60 to have the privilege of cutting Yew trees.
Here are the locations of Yew Trees for non-members and members:
Free-to-play areas:
* 1 In the Lumbridge graveyard
* 1 North of Port Sarim near the wall separating Port Sarim and Draynor Village
* 1 Next to the church in northern Varrock
* 1 South of varrok and west of champions guild north of a farm
* 2 In the ruins in Edgeville
* 3 In the forest south of Falador
* 3 On the lawn behind Varrock Castle, east of the Grand Exchange (A good place to cut because it is near a bank and Grand Exchange)
* 3 East of Varrock, west of the Earth Altar
* 4 In the forest east of Draynor and west of Lumbridge
* 4 Near Rimmington and south of Melzar's Maze
Member areas:
* 1 In Zanaris
* 3 Southeast of the Legends Guild (1 just east of entrance)
* 3 South of Seers' Village bank in church courtyard/graveyard. Although it is close to a bank, it is not recommended to cut here as it is often crowded.
* 7 located around the Gnome Stronghold (3 next to the bank, 4 in south east corner)
* 7 Near Port Tyras past a few Dense Forests and a Tripwire trap (4 just south of the tripwire)
* 8 In a grove southwest of Catherby south and east of the flax field (This location is always extremely crowded with players due to the number of yew tree and it is often impossible to find an uncrowded world)
* Several gathered in the woodland Hunter zone.
I do a lot of Yew tree cutting in my Runescape playing time in order to receive the big money on Runescape. Like I said before in my previous steps, these Runescape money-making steps might not be widespread as of yet, but these are still very good reasonable money-making methods for Runescape.
In the end, when you sell these Yew logs at the Grand Exchange, you should get about 456 coins each. That's not bad in my opinion.
