Facial cream for rejuvenation moisturizes dry and tired skin. The ingredients are beneficial for skin health with antioxidant and medicinal properties. Take good care of your face--it is, metaphorically, the book cover to the rest of your total being. This recipe has simple ingredients that make a soft facial cream.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

To make the facial cream, first fill the bottom pot of the double boiler with water, and heat on the stove. Place the second pot or bowl into the pot to heat from the heat of the water.

  2. Step 2

Add 1 cup of olive oil and 1/3 cup shea butter or substitute in the double boiler. Heat until melted. Remove from heat.

  3. Step 3

Add 3 drops of peppermint oil to the facial cream base. Peppermint has antiseptic and stimulating properties, making it an ideal rejuvenation agent.

  4. Step 4

Add 5 drops of sage oil to the facial cream base. Sage also has antiseptic and medicinal properties, which is healthy for your skin pores and skin tone.

  5. Step 5

Use the electric mixer to blend the ingredients while adding 1/3 cup of spring water. Blend until the mixture is fluffy and creamy.

  6. Step 6

Scoop the mixture in a jar, and store in a cool place. Use after a rejuvenation facial rinse, after showering, and at bedtime for overnight rejuvenation.

  7. Step 7

Apply sparingly to the face and neck. Massage into the skin until absorbed.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can substitute the peppermint and sage oils with fresh or dried herbs. You can either brew it as a tea into the 1/3 cup of water used in the recipe, or just sprinkle it in. You can use the leaves whole and let it sit into either the olive oil or water to infuse the facial cream with its natural properties.
  • Do not overheat the olive oil and shea butter. The heat will destroy some of their properties. You are just heating to melt the shea butter, beeswax or vegetable shortening.
