Things You'll Need:
- 3 Cups of Distilled Water
- 1 Teaspoon of Dried Sage
- 1 Teaspoon of Dried Peppermint
- 1 Teaspoon of Dried Calendula
- 3 Drops of Lemongrass Oil
-
Step 1
Bring the water to a boil in a pot that has a lid. Once the water begins a heavy boil (which is when the bubbles are very active and large), remove the pan from the heat.
-
Step 2
Put in the sage, peppermint, calendula, and lemongrass oil (you can skip the lemongrass oil though I do recommend using it). Use a wooden spoon to quickly mix everything together, then put the lid on the pan.
-
Step 3
For the next five minutes, leave the lid on the pan. During this time, you should move to somewhere where you can comfortably lean over the pot.
-
Step 4
Remove the lid, and lean your face about 6-8 inches from the pot. Use a towel draped over the back of your head to keep the steam from escaping.
-
Step 5
After about 10 minutes, put the pot away and gently rinse your face off with warm water. Then splash your face with cool water.
