How to Create a Post on Craigslist
Craigslist is a website that allows users to post classified ads in a wide variety of categories, such as personals, employment, goods, services and housing. The site offers local ads for more than 700 communities in 70 countries and receives more than 20 billion page views per month. You can place an ad for free in most categories, but the site charges a fee for therapeutic services advertising, brokered New York City apartments and job listings in certain cities.

Navigate to the Craigslist website at Craigslist.org. Click the logo in the upper left corner of the page and select the city in which you want to post an ad.

Click on the category in which you would like to post.

Click "Post" in the upper right corner of the page.

Select the subcategory that is relevant to the subject of your post. Click "Continue." Select an additional subcategory, if prompted, and click "Continue" again.

Enter the required information for your posting, including a title and your email address. Depending on the type of ad, you may be required to enter additional information, such as desired rent, salary information or your age.

Enter the text of your post in the Posting Description field. If desired, click "Add/Edit Images" and select an image from your computer to include in your post. Click "Continue."

Review your post. If you're satisfied with it, click "Continue."

Log in to the email account you used to create the post and open the email from Craigslist. Click the confirmation link and accept the website's terms of use.

Enter your telephone number in the phone verification field and click "Send The Code." You'll receive a call or text message containing a numeric code; enter the code and click "Submit Verification Code."

Enter the CAPTCHA code and click "Continue" to complete the verification process. Your ad will appear on the site within 15 minutes.
