How to Make Vegan Sugar-Free Pudding

Pudding is basically a coagulation of a creamy sweet substance. All you need is a handful of ingredients and 10 minutes to make a vegan version that is just as good as (if not better than) the real thing.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of milk type product (Soy Milk, Rice Milk, Almond Milk, Hemp Milk etc).
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  • Vanilla Essence or other natural flavoring
  • Natural Sweetener (Stevia, Agave etc).
  • Small Saucepan
  1. Step 1

    Pour 1 cup of milk type product into a small saucepan and set on low heat to simmer.

  2. Step 2

    Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into a 1/4 cup of cold water (must be cold in order for cornstarch to completely dissolve).

  3. Step 3

    Add sweetener to milk. 4-7 drops of Stevia or about a tablespoon of Agave. (add the sweetener of your choice in until it is to your liking).

  4. Step 4

    Add in flavoring of your choice to milk. 1 tsp vanilla essence for vanilla pudding.

  5. Step 5

    Turn stove up to medium heat and begin pouring in cornstarch mixture. Stir intently as pudding mixture will begin to congeal rather quickly.

  6. Step 6

    Continue to let boil and stir continuously for about 6-10 minutes.

  7. Step 7

    Remove saucepan from stove and allow pudding mixture to cool completely and 'puddingify'.

Tips & Warnings
  • To speed up the cooling process, transfer your pudding mixture to a glass, Pyrex or ceramic dish and place in the refridgerator for about 10 minutes.
  • The flavor of your pudding is limited only by your personal preference and imagination so add some cocoa powder for a chocolaty pudding desert or some lemon flavoring for a meringue style treat.
  • Over consumption of pudding may lead to excessive happiness and taste bud satisfaction. So Eat Up!
