How to use Bit Torrent. Bit torrent is a peer file sharing program. It is especially good with transferring large files. Music, videos, pictures etc. are all capable of being transferred at great speed, quickly and easily.

1. All right first go download Bit Torrent. Go to http://www.bittorrent.com/, if you get it from anywhere else viruses may occur. Or worse they could try to charge you for a free version of the software.

2. Now that you have acquired Bit Torrent, install it on your computer. Follow all the usual steps of installation

3. Now its installed. Next go to google and search for torrent file sites. Bit Torrent is based upon files, called .torrents, and are housed on sites. These files are merely directories to get your computer to go the right peer (called a 'seed'). When you find a torrent search site you like find a torrent you want and click on the download button.

4. Next your computer may try to get you to convert the file into something else. Keep it as it is for downloading. As soon as it is downloaded it will make a window pop up stating if you want to run the program. Say yes, if your computer also pops up with what program you would like to run it with click on the option that allows you to find something on your computer. When option pops up, hit the Bit Torrent symbol.

5. The download should start automatically in the Bit Torrent program. Congratulations you have just downloaded your first file.

• Bit Torrent can but used to copy copyrighted material to your computer. Please be aware of this fact and able to take the ramifications.
