Things You'll Need:
- Thin wooden rod or long sturdy straw
- purple ribbon
- Glue Gun
- yarn in Abby colors (blue, purple, pink and yellow)
- thin wire or strong string
- Tape
-
Step 1
Take all your Abby Cadabby colored yarn and cut several strands of each color in the same length. Cut the yarn longer than you think you will need it because you can always trim it later.
-
Step 2
Gather all your strips of yarn together so they are lined up. In the middle, wrap the thin wire or string around and tie a tight knot, securing the yarn pieces together.
-
Step 3
Take your wooden rod or straw and put the center of the tied yarn on the tip of the rod. Take the wire (or string) and tightly wrap it around the rod. Use some tape to secure it in place.
-
Step 4
Now, starting right below the yarn at the top of your wand, put a dab of hot glue from your glue gun. Take the purple ribbon and secure it onto the wand. Now, carefully wrap the ribbon around the wand, working your way down the wand. You can add dabs of hot glue along the way to make it more secure. Once you get to the bottom of the wand, trim the ribbon. Fold the unfinished edge under and glue it down.
-
Step 5
Fluff up your yarn pom-pom at the top of the wand. Trim the length of the yarn if needed. Now let your child POOF! away!
