Things You'll Need:
- Half a Lemon
- 1/2 Cup of Witch Hazel
- 5 Drops of Tangerine Oil
-
Step 1
Before cutting the lemon in half, press your hand over the lemon and roll it back and forth firmly. This helps to make sure when you cut it in half it will release more of its juice.
-
Step 2
Take half of the lemon and squeeze the juice into a small bowl.
-
Step 3
Pour the witch hazel into the bowl, and gently stir the lemon juice and witch hazel together.
-
Step 4
Put the 5 drops of Tangerine Oil in (if necessary you can substitute lemon oil or lavender oil). Stir everything together once more.
-
Step 5
Store the mixture in a small airtight bottle, I suggest using an old toner or astringent bottle, or even the bottle the witch hazel was in. You can also purchase empty plastic bottles like this in most drugstores in the makeup sections.
-
Step 6
Use the toner in replace of your normal toner, between cleansing and moisturizing the face, both morning and night.
-
Step 7
The toner can be kept at room temperature for about one month. If your house is commonly at 80F or above, I would suggest keeping it in the fridge instead.
