Most facial toners will dry out the skin, and can also alter the skins natural pH balance. This toner won't dry out your skin, and will actually help to moisturize the skin and protect the skin from environmental damage. It also has a pleasant smell thanks to the lavender and lemon.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Dried or Fresh Lavender Flowers
  • 1 Cup of Witch Hazel
  • 5 Drops of Lavender Oil
  • 3 Drops of Lemon Oil
  • Glass Jar
  1. Step 1

Pour the witch hazel into a medium sized bowl, then put in the lavender buds and stir gently.

  2. Step 2

Put in the lemon and lavender oil, then gently stir everything together.

  3. Step 3

Pour all of the ingredients into a glass jar, then tightly close the lid. Be sure to use a jar that has a tight fitting lid. I suggest using a pickling jar.

  4. Step 4

The toner will take two weeks to be able to use. This is so that the lavender can steep properly. Store the jar in a dark, cool area. If you don't have a cool dark place to keep it, I would suggest keeping it in the butter compartment of the fridge.

  5. Step 5

Before you begin to use the toner, you can transfer it into a cosmetic bottle or properly cleaned old cosmetic container. It should be stored at room temperature, and will last about a month once you begin to use it.
