Things You'll Need:
- Frozen crab legs 1/2-1 lbs per person
- Large pot
- Old Bay seasoning
- Butter 1 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice (optional)
- Red pepper flakes 1/8 tsp (optional)
- Garlic powder 3 tsp (optional)
-
Step 1
Fill a large pot 2/3 full with water. Add 3-4 tablespoons (or to taste) of Old Bay seasoning. Bring the water to boil. Add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice (optional). Lemon juice gets rid of bad smell while boiling crab legs, and also makes the crab meat taste fresh.
-
Step 2
Add frozen crab legs to the boiling water and reduce heat. Let the pot simmer for 5 to 8 minutes or until the crab legs are opaque and flaky. Be careful to not overcook. When finished cooking, drain well. Make a slit in each crab leg, so it's easier for your guests to get to the meat.
-
Step 3
In a large saucepan melt butter and, if using, add red pepper flakes and garlic.
-
Step 4
Serve the crab legs with the melted butter dip. Enjoy!
