Read the steps below to find out a creative way of how to make invitations for pool parties that is both an invitation and a pool party favor.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • solid light colored swimming tube
  • permanent markers
  • large envelopes
  • pool related stickers
  1. Step 1

Buy cheap solid light colored swimming tubes (one per invitee). You can find these at dollar stores, ebay, and anywhere else where cheap toys are sold.

  2. Step 2

Using a permanent marker, write the name of the party in decorative letters on the top of the tube. For example, if it is a birthday party for Jane, write "Jane's birthday party". If the party is a graduation party write "Class of 2009 Graduation Party".

  3. Step 3

On the bottom of the swimming tube, write the invitation details:

    A. Include all relevant information that you normally would in a party invitation

    B. Use swimming and pool related terms for a creative touch.

    Examples:
    - Swim on over to our house
    - Dive into the excitement
    - Have a splashing good time
    - Our house is located 547 laps after Main Street

  4. Step 4

If you'd like, you can decorate with swimming related drawings using colorful permanent markers.

  5. Step 5

Place the swimming tube in a large envelope.

  6. Step 6

Write the name and address of invitee on the envelope. Write your return address.

  7. Step 7

Place a stamp on the envelope (make sure to include enough postage for the weight of the swimming tube).

  8. Step 8

Decorate the envelope with pool related stickers being sure not to cover addresses or stamp.

  9. Step 9

    Mail invitation envelope to invitees.

  10. Step 10

Wait for the invitees to compliment you on your creative and cute swimming party invitations.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may use a solid colored bathing cap instead of a swimming tube if you cannot get cheap swimming tubes.
