Instructions

    • 1

Buy inexpensive, solid-colored swimming tubes or swimming caps (one per invitee). Look for them at dollar stores and on eBay.

    • 2

Using a permanent marker, write the name of the party in decorative letters along the top of the swimming caps or (deflated) tubes. For example, if the pool party is for a graduation, write "Class of 2011 Graduation Party."

    • 3

Write the usual party-invitation details on the caps or tubes, such as date, time and RSVP information. For a creative touch, include language such as:

Swim on over to our house

      Dive into the excitement

      Have a splashing good time

Our house is located 547 laps after Main Street

Place the swimming tubes or caps into large envelopes addressed to your invitees and mail them off. Be sure each envelope includes enough postage to cover the weight of the invitation.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may use a solid colored bathing cap instead of a swimming tube if you cannot get cheap swimming tubes.
