Mice can damage a car to the point of having to be sold! I had one customer that did this because of smell and the car did at one point make him physically sick! Here are some tips to protect your car from mice! No mice! No damage!

Difficulty: Easy

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Clean car inside! Clean it good! That means get all of the chips and pretzels that have fallen between the seats vacuumed out! Get the two month old slice of pizza too! do not give mice a reason to look for food in your car! If they find food they will stay and use your car for a home causing damage as they go!

  2. Step 2
    soap bars
    soap bars

I have experimented with this because I heard it worked! Over the years I have to say it does. Take two bars of Irish soap out of the box, place one on the floor board in front of each front seat. Place a paper plate underneath each! Mice don't like the sent put off by the soap! It works well for keeping mice from getting in and causing that damage we are protecting your car from!

  3. Step 3
    jacks stands
    jacks stands

If storing the car for an extended amount of time, place the car on jack stands! This will help deter mice from entering your car! Get the wheels off the ground! This will not only keep mice from being able to cause damage to your car but it will also keep your tires from getting flat spots from setting!
