Things You'll Need:
- Better Listening Skills
- More Understanding
- Humility
- Communication
-
Step 1
It's Always About YouYou feel the need to top what ever is being said or done by someone else. It seems they forgot to laugh at your joke that humiliated them, but left you in stitches.
-
Step 2
You Violate Their TrustCertain things are hands off, but you decided to touch it anyway. While it is true that no one can be taken away unless they really wanted to be; it still hurts and makes it very hard to trust you again.
-
Step 3
You're Not GenuineWhen she's around, you're the best of friends. When she leaves, you justify that it's okay to gossip about her, because you're such good friends. How would you feel, if she did the same thing to you?
-
Step 4
You Like To Start DramaEveryone was having a good time in the suburbs, until you decided to bring up old wounds that ignited a heated argument. When things began to get even uglier, you switched positions as the instigator, to the arbitrator.
-
Step 5
You're VindictiveYou messed with her or her family? Run!
-
Step 6
You're Emotionally UnstableIt's your 5th year wedding anniversary and he didn't buy the gift you hinted about repeatedly. You decided to throw your cell phone at him and make a scene in the department store; even though you swore from previous times, that it would never happen again.
-
Step 7
You're SuccessfulSometimes it's not your poor attitude that is the problem. It's your power. How could one person have so many good qualities, be successful and live such a fulfilled life? It's other people's problem, if they don't believe or accept it as the truth. Just make sure you know your blessings are here today and could be gone tomorrow.
-
Step 8
You're UnstoppableSomeone is always going to dislike something about you. Nevertheless, your enemies do not have to be the majority. They will never understand no matter how tough the challenges, or how sweet the success may be, your heart will remain as beautiful as you are.
If you take a deeper look at these habits from a positive view, they will help lead you into becoming more aware, humble, authentic and a an even better friend. The rule of thumb, treat others the way you would like to be treated, will never go out of style. Nor will it ever lead you to run out of friends or make an enemy, on purpose.
