Often times my friends will ask me where I get my music from as I often have such a wide and new variety of fresh music not only from the USA but from around the world. It is very simple to find new music, just follow the steps below.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Download iTunes. This is a great resource for discovering music especially due to the genius function. Be sure genius is turned on. Any music that you like or that you have downloaded you can click and run genius on. This will find other similar songs in that genre that you may like. This is a great method of finding new songs.

  2. Step 2

In iTunes, check the top songs from each individual genre instead of just looking at the top songs on the main page. This will show you many more songs that otherwise wouldn't make the top 100.

  3. Step 3

On the home page in the iTunes store scroll to the bottom. Choose a different country and you will have access to songs from all around the world. (However you will have to check if the iTunes USA has it to purchase it otherwise you have to get it elsewhere or set up an iTunes account for that country.)

  4. Step 4

Listen to online radio. Almost all radio stations now stream online for free. Pick stations from different geographic reasons as they will often play different songs than local radio stations may play.

  5. Step 5

Use Amazon's MP3 store as it also tracks purchases and makes recommendations. Amazon MP3's are DRM free and are often cheaper than iTunes. They also download right to the iTunes library.

Tips & Warnings
  • Listen to music everywhere. If you don't know the song ask someone.
