Step 1
If your child is one of those kids that just has to have a balloon you can simply take it back to a place that fills Mylar balloons and have more helium added. The child is happy and your pocket book is as well. Depending on the place and size of the balloon this can cost around 50 cents to a dollar.
-
Step 2
If you are using the balloons for party purposes only you can store the balloons in a tote, letting them deflate on their own until the next event and to use them.
-
Step 3
If you do not have the space to store the Mylar balloons you can cut the stem a bit on the bottom to deflate the balloon. Then take it to a place that can seal it the next time it is filled. The problem with this is that you are eventually going to run out of room to get it sealed. The advantage is you don't have to worry about a faulty valve. You can also inserting a drinking straw into the valve making sure it goes up inside and carefully apply pressure draining the Mylar balloon.

Step 4
Once it is no longer able to be refill you can cut it open and use the pretty foil for decorations. Shredded it for confetti, simply just hang the saying or character on the wall, start a Mylar balloon scrapbook or use for wrapping paper. The uses are endless.
