Download CD Songs Onto Your iPod

You can get songs on your iPod by buying from iTunes Store, downloading off internet, or downloading your old music CD's to iTunes. This article will show you how to download music CD's on your iPod.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with iTunes
  • iPod
  • Music CD's
  1. Step 1

First off you need to open up iTunes. If you don't have iTunes, you can go to www.apple.com/itunes/download/ to download it for free. All you need is your email address for downloading it.

  2. Step 2

Once iTunes is up insert your music CD into your computer. On the left hand side of iTunes, you should see your CD pop up. Double click on it if it didn't already open.

  3. Step 3

You should see all the songs that are on that CD. Next to the song name should be a little check box that is already checked. If you don't want a song, just uncheck it by clicking the already checked box.

  4. Step 4

After you've selected the songs you want, you can download them on your computer. To do that you just click "Import CD" at the bottom-right hand corner of iTunes. It will take a little bit for it to download. After it is done downloading you can eject the CD.

  5. Step 5

Connect your iPod to the computer using the USB cable that came with your iPod. Your iPod should pop up where the CD was on the left hand side of iTunes. Click on it. You will see numerous tabs on the top of the page (summary, music, movies, and so on), click on Music.

  6. Step 6

If you want all the songs from your computer downloaded onto your iPod, then check "All Songs And Playlists" which is below "Sync Music". Then down on the bottom-right hand corner hit "Apply Now".In a little while all your songs will be on your iPod.

  7. Step 7

After it is done downloading, eject your iPod, plug in the headphones, and start listening to your new music.
